Two-and-a-half years later, preparations for re-stepping Pilar's two masts are underway for Sunday, October 20th, 2019:

• Halyards splices/served:

• Blocks serviced, painted:

• Spars given a final two coats of varnish:

• Lower 'dead-eyes' (traditional rigging blocks) installed:

• Hardware mounted (radar) & mast fittings:

...still lots more to be done in the next few days, but none of this would be possible without the skills and good humor of David, Renato, Jomar, Mike, Jonathan, YoYong, Vincent and many, many others, for which I am eternally grateful and hope to repay somewhat on Sunday's celebration, after the masts are again where they belong!
