Dog Dawn

It was the beginning of an especially synergistic day.  Midway from boat to beach I'd already stopped the dinghy trip ashore to take photos of the incoming fishing fleet, was already late to drive into town when I landed, glanced up to see the harbor activity silhouetted by morning mist.  The beauty took my breath away, so unexpected it was.

The glare of shooting into the sunrise made it difficult to see what my cell phone's camera was capturing; the light changing so fast I simply kept pressing the shutter and hoped to capture something decent.

This was the last photo taken, and though I rued not having more of the fishing boats in its background, this one has more emotional identification in it than the the others; the simply beautiful. Picturesque.

"Talking to yourself can be useful. And writing means being overheard."
--Zadie Smith--

ahh...but as Thomas Mann said,

"Speech is civilization itself.
The word, even the most contradictory word, preserves contact
-- it is silence which isolates.

Missing you, dear one........and it is all my doing. Are you well? Are you happy?
I think of you and smile, you know?
Di

So interesting, Dianna, how often in sync we are...both focused elsewhere for a period of time and the suddenly we're thinking of each other at the same time with one or the other being the first to re-connect. It might have been me, first, this time, if three days ago I had done so after using one of your precious Tula cards to send to a very special friend in Australia. I am still hoarding the others I have of yours but daily see Tula Tales where she can remind me to WRITE...something!

And, Yes, as I sit here with a huge smile on my face, I do know...and love that the little dog gazing out to sea in the above post may have had a 'paw' in hand to inspire you to say Hello. Am doing well, but falling way behind on sharing the blessings as posts due to the bounty of them. I send you love and hope that all is well for you, too...
